Jerry Lee Lewis headlined the Rhythm Festival at Twinwood's in 2006
About Us
Volunteers and enthusiasts work together with Twinwood Events Ltd to preserve the remaining buildings and site of the wartime airfield Control Tower and promote the history of Twinwood's, 51OTU  and of course Glenn Miller.

As well as supporting the spectacular music festivals hosted by Twinwood Airfield we help maintain the buildings and features of the site and many of us have collections and individual items on display  in the museum exhibits now present.

Many big names now appear at events at Twinwood Airfield throughout the year, for example Jerry Lee Lewis headlined at the first Rhythm Festival which took place in 2006. At this festival a film crew also filmed sections of an episode for Midsommer Murders starring John Nettles. They returned at the end of our festival season to complete the shooting.

There is always more to do for those of us involved on a weekly basis at Twinwood's
As you explore our web site we hope you enjoy this ‘snapshot’ of what we are about and look forward to welcoming you to Twinwood Airfield when you visit.
Thanks for looking and see you here soon!
Between events and during the winter closed season work continues. Each year sees improvements and additions to the displays and more of the existing buildings are renovated, repaired and opened. It takes time and money and is therefore slow but steady work.
